What You’ll Do as a Paramedic:
- Provide high-quality patient care in pre-hospital and inter-facility transport settings
- Perform advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) interventions within scope of practice
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and transport patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries
- Deliver compassionate care while representing LSR with professionalism
Requirements:
- Maryland Paramedic (EMT-P), or ability to get reciprocity upon hire (DC and/or DE certification a plus, required once hired)
- Current and valid ALS certification
- Current certification cards for all applicable skill-based levels (BTLS, PALS, NALS, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Background check & child abuse clearance
- Strong attendance, punctuality, and professional communication skills
- Computer skills required for timekeeping, scheduling, communication, and charting
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role: lifting/moving patients (125 lbs unassisted/250+ lbs assisted), including carrying patients up/down stairs, using stretcher, and stair chairs, extended periods of sitting/standing, and frequent movement
